Make up a name for your restaurant.
Use the name to create a distinctive logo for the restaurant.
This logo will be used in all of the promotional items that will be developed for the restaurant.
Design the following for your restaurant:
- Create a flyer that can be mailed or faxed advertising a particular promotion for the restaurant for that week.
- Create an advertisement that can be used in the yellow pages of the phone book or local newspaper to advertise the restaurant. The ad must be 1⁄4 of a letter size (8 1⁄2 x 11).
- Create a menu for the restaurant. It must be on an 8 1⁄2 x 11 paper, folded in half with information on all sides.
- Design a coupon promoting a special at the restaurant (i.e. 2 for 1 dinner, free dessert, etc.).
- Design a placemat to be used at the restaurant. It must be 8 1⁄2 x 14 landscape. Use your imagination regarding what you put on the place mat. (i.e. map to restaurant, local attractions, etc.).
Other IMPORTANT information:
- Your restaurant idea must be original and unique.
- You may work with a partner (or by yourself).
- No inappropriate ideas, please.
- Each submission must be in a professional business presentation folder. All
documents must be printed as outlined in the contest, on the paper size indicated and
in colour (if possible). Submissions will also be emailed to the teacher.
